Ubud Market Tour & Balinese Cooking Class

Walk the market at first light, then cook what you’ve gathered

Detail

Tuesday – Market Tour & Cooking

Every great Balinese meal begins at the market. On Tuesday mornings at Casa Luna Cooking School, your class starts where the food does — among the spice sellers, vegetable stalls and fresh produce of a traditional Balinese market in Ubud.

Your guide introduces you to galangal, kaffir lime, candlenut, lemongrass and the exotic herbs that give Balinese cooking its extraordinary depth. Back at the school, you cook what you’ve discovered – transforming fresh market ingredients into a full Balinese meal using traditional techniques. The class ends at a long shared table where you enjoy everything you’ve cooked together.
