Balinese Ceremonial Cooking Class in Ubud

Food, offerings and ritual. Cook with meaning.

Detail

Wednesday – Ceremonial Dishes

In Bali, food and ceremony are inseparable. The dishes prepared for temple celebrations, life rituals and daily offerings carry centuries of meaning, each ingredient chosen with care, each technique passed down through generations of Balinese cooks.

At Casa Luna Cooking School, our Wednesday ceremonial class offers a rare and intimate insight into this tradition. Under the guidance of our experienced Balinese instructors, you’ll learn to prepare the dishes that sit at the heart of Balinese cultural and spiritual life – understanding not just how they are made but why they matter. The class ends at a long shared table where you enjoy everything you’ve cooked together.
